New Zealand’s leading sustainable technology, fleet financing and advisory business, Carbn, is expressing its thanks to New Zealand Green Investment Finance (NZGIF).

Earlier this week, Climate Change Minister Simon Watts announced that NZGIF will focus on managing down its investment portfolio.

Carbn was founded in July 2020 and works to reduce fleet emission through technology, advisory services and finance solutions. NZGIF has played an important role in Carbn’s success and CEO Shaun Drylie is thanking the organisation for helping to bring Carbn’s sustainable shared mobility model to life.

“From the beginning, we recognized NZGIF as a transitional funder that has played a crucial role in helping Carbn evolve from a new venture into a thriving sustainability business,” said Drylie.

“We are incredibly grateful for this support and for recognising Carbn’s pioneering efforts in accelerating the decarbonisation of the passenger fleet, which contributes to approximately 10% of New Zealand's emissions.”

Drylie says Carbn is dedicated to assisting both large and small organisations in transitioning to lower-emission vehicles and optimising their fleet sizes through its innovative car-sharing technology, Zilch business and differentiated business model.

Carbn’s clientele includes banks, universities, city councils, private businesses, and large infrastructure companies, as well as their employees who benefit from the flexibility of accessing vehicles for personal or business needs.

Drylie says the organisation looks forward to collaborating with the NZGIF team as they navigate their transition.

“Our commitment to helping businesses maximise vehicle utilisation remains strong, and we welcome any enquiries from those looking to enhance their sustainability efforts.” About Carbn:
