Winners at the 2024 Australasian Fleet Champions Awards by Brake!
We're thrilled to announce that Carbn took home awards recognising our work increasing driver safety.
Hosted by Brake, NZ's road safety charity, the event spotlighted some amazing initiatives across the country to increase the safety of our vehicles and drivers. We were incredibly proud to see some of our team's hard work in this space shared, and honoured to receive the awards.
🏆 Road Safety in the Community Award Winner
Awarded for our Iwi-led EV initiative in partnership with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Hiko, bringing together our carsharing tech with a pilot pool of EVs at the Marae offering a shared waka kaupapa that allows the community access to green transport. Hiko aligns with the shared commitment of Carbn and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei to te taiao (the environment), promoting not only greener modes of transport but also the wider benefits of shared mobility for whānau.
Hiko represents a new area for Carbn, expanding our technology into a community where sustainable mobility was previously inaccessible. By bringing this technology to a traditionally underserved community, Hiko addresses not only mobility and sustainability challenges but also greater road safety through newer vehicles and GPS driver behaviour monitoring.
👏 Road Safety Product Highly Commended
Awarded for our driver licence verification automation, which integrates licence checks with bookings to ensure our fleet drivers' safety and Fleet Managers' peace of mind. With this feature, fleet managers have full visibility of their users' driver licence statuses, and greater assurance knowing the use of pool vehicles without a valid full licence on file is prevented on a system level.
Thank you to Brake for their invaluable work making our roads safer and preventing road deaths. Brake's work ed by a belief that everyone has the right to safe, sustainable and healthy mobility, and their services are broad spanning including education and advocacy as well as support resources for road crash victims and their families.
